Our Farm started with a dream years ago while we were still living in New Mexico. We were originally from Michigan and we were making plans to move back home. We knew that we wanted to get a house with a few acres. We found a modest house with 10.5 acre. We started our farm, as many hobby famers do, with chickens. Shortly after our chickens arrived, we added 3 Boer Goats. Over the next few years, we had more goats, many kids, a few sheep, a couple mini horses, and our beloved KuneKune Pigs. We also started bottle calves in 2020. We rehomed our goats in 2021 to focus more on the pigs, calves and sheep, but quickly realized that we needed more space to get more sheep. We ended up rehoming our sheep, our mini horses and all of our chickens.
In 2022, we decided to sell our hobby farm to buy a bigger farm to grow bigger. We got our current Business Name and LLC started and it was finalized in January of 2023. We sold our hobby farm and bought a farm with 40 acres. We spend the last 6 months adding pastures and growing our farm. We currently have KuneKune pigs and piglets, Shetland Sheep that will be due to lamb from March to May of 2024, Bottle calves and wearned calves, more chickens, a few turkeys, 4 friendly barn cats and our Austrailian Shepherd Puppy, Nova.
